Well I am happy to report that I finished all my shopping on Fri. It took a while due to numerous food, water and bathroom breaks but I did it. That is why I don't invite anyone along because it must be torture for them to move that slow. I had to sit on a bench for ten minutes before I had the strength to get to the parking lot.
Saturday I bullied Tom into pulling all the decorations out of the attic. We got the tree up and decorated and also hung up swag and placed my lighted village. I should have taken more breaks that day because I was feeling quite woozy when I was making dinner. I need to send Tom back up there because we are missing a few items that must be tucked in a corner.
Sunday I volunteered to help my mom finish her shopping. We make a good pair because her foot slows her down still. She ended up having the incision re-opened last week so they could remove the pins in her bone. Hopefully this will end her swelling and infections. Tom had to go in to work so he met us for lunch and then we dropped off his car to finally be repaired from the accident. By that time it was snowing like crazy.
We really should have negotiated a rental car from the other guy's insurance company. The body shop told Tom today that it won't be ready until next Tues. Which sucks because that leaves me stranded. We can borrow a car from my parents but they only have one 4x4 and they are using it. I really don't want to send Tom to work in the snow without some protection. So we'll see how the week pans out weather wise.
I wasn't planning on going anywhere today but I still feel trapped. One bad thing about rural living is that nothing is within walking distance. I can get in less trouble at home so it's probably for the best. :)
