Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

One Dimensional

Maybe I am sensitive but I've noticed a lot of TV shows lately with pregnancy in the plot. Unfortunately they are mostly about murdered women with unborn babies or premature births. Only my worst nightmares. Every day Peanut thrives in my belly is one day closer to being safe. I am looking forward to childbirth classes and to talking with other pregnant women. Perhaps then I can assure myself that I am not the only who has these thoughts. The farther along I get and the more I show, the more my life seems to revolve around being pregnant. It is wonderful on one hand but also feels strange. My blog entries before I got pregnant seem like they are written by a different person.

I've noticed this, too. I think with the whole Laci Peterson thing, the media has sensationalized the story, and the networks have decided to make some money off of the story in their own ways. It's awful. I stick to watching shows like Birth Day on Discovery Health...shows where I can learn something, instead of watching the violence they choose to bombard us with on network TV.

I know exactly what you mean. I was also accosted with just about every pregnancy horror story you can imagine. I have no clue what possesses people to share that kind of stuff. By the way, I got your message today (my cell phone battery was dead for a couple of days...god, how did I live without it?). Looking forward to seeing you next week. The pack n' play is loaded and ready to go. And just for the record, if you think pregnancy has changed you...just you wait!
