More Rain

Black cloud continues to follow us. Tom got in an accident this morning. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. He was rear-ended by a guy in a big pickup with a plow kit on the front and a trailer with a little backhoe on it. The guy said he just couldn't brake in time. Tom said the good news was they couldn't have been doing more than 10 mph. His insurance will pay for it but it's just another hassle Tom doesn't need.
Then I finally settled our IVF bill with the hospital. I have been going back and forth with them and our insurance company since May. It looks like due to a different billing code we owe 10% of the costs. So much for insurance covering 100%. Apparently we couldn't have known upfront and there is nothing we can do about it now. The woman said we should be thankful that the bulk of it was paid for. I said sure but 10% of thousands of dollars was still a lot and we just weren't expecting the expense. She wasn't exactly sympathetic except to offer a budget payment plan. So I'm giving them as little as possible right now for as long as we can.
I bought milk tonight with dimes. At least I am almost to the point where I can start to smile about it. Oh my.
There was one bright point during the day. I took Mom to the ear, nose & throat doctor to review her CAT scan. He couldn't find anything wrong, so hopefully she can avoid more surgery on any part of her body. Then he offered to look at my ears and said they were fluid free. And he gave me free samples of nasal sprays to help them re-pressurize. When does that ever happen? Free medical care and free drugs. Super nice guy.
As always I continue to pat my belly and talk to Peanut. I tell him that I love him and can't wait until he comes out. I tell him all the things we'll learn and do together. No matter what, I am grateful for a loving, supportive husband and this little guy who has already changed my life.

So glad Tom wasn't hurt. The hassle is no fun, you're right--getting estimates, rental car or just doing without your vehicle--it's all a pain! I hope it all works out smoothly.
