My condolences to the Red Sox and their loyal fans afffectionately called "Red Sox Nation". I watched with the intensity of these devoted legions but only after they made the playoffs. It was a heartbreaker and I stayed up last night until the bitter end. Now I can go back to not really caring about baseball. I just think that the Cubs or Sox deserved a shot way more than the Yankees. They've been to the World Series 6 times in the past 8 years. It can't possibly mean as much to them as it would have to us.
