I have runes and cast 'em now and then. They "told" me that our move to Portland was a great idea and also predicted that I wouldn't get pregnant. It wasn't that they said "you won't be pregnant" 'cuz runes don't work that way but what they did say was that I had a lot more angst to get through and the results of my efforts would not be what I hoped, etc. They did predict eventual happiness and here I am all happy and stuff so I trust 'em pretty much.
And they make a nice clinking sound when I'm getting read to read them.
