Super Dud

Dear Friends Who Call After 10pm,

I am no longer the vampire-like night owl who was in her prime at midnight. Although we don't have any babies sleeping, I am currently growing one. I love you and very much want to speak with you. However, I respectfully request that you adjust your free wheelin' lifestyle to take my sleepy person into account. Please feel free to call and chat at any other time during the day. (After 10am and before 8pm.)

Sincerely,
Me

We got a call at 2:00 this morning! 2 AM!! Turned out it was just beeping. I don't know what the hell that was all about but it pissed me off royally!

My ex-mother-in-law lives in California to (at the time) my New York lifestyle. She would call at 2am in the morning to ask my ex-husband the name of the first space shuttle because she was sitting at a bar with a friend and they were arguing over it. I never understood how anyone could not realize that a family (at that point we had a new baby) would be asleep at by 11pm.

10 PM is a good rule. My ex-roommates got calls at all hours of the night. And it wasn't because of time differences either. Needless to say, I was quite cranky most mornings.
