Blonde As I Wanna Be

I finally got around to getting my haircut yesterday. There was some confusion about what I wanted with my bangs but everything worked out. My stylist does a good job but I really don't like chatting with her very much. I mean am I allowed to just get a haircut and not tell her every nuance of my personal life? The other thing that drives me crazy is that she is always trying to talk me into getting highlights. I keep saying no. But she keeps trying.
So we were at the blowdry part and I'm thinking, "here we go." 3..2..1 "So why don't you get highlights?" I smile. She goes on to say, "You have nice natural ones but.." I'm now thinking, "Why would I pay $80 for salon highlights when you can't even recognize a dye job?"
I'll just keep my $9 box of Loreal Preference, thanks.

I think it would be sweet if you could go into a salon and request a non-chatty stylist. I would be all over it!

I'd be all over that too, Melissa. I just want to sit there and not think or talk. Just cut my hair and I'll be on my way thankyouverymuch!

i have had issues with stylists who won't believe that my hair color is natural. i still have most of my childhood blonde hair and they think that i am lying about the color being natural. come on! i am paying a lot of money to sit in a chair and be called a liar. grrr . . . so i feel your pain.
