Tom delivered this bad news to me last night when Angie and are were heading home. It made the front page of our local paper. It seems silly but it really is a big deal. I have him on my license plate. He was hugely symbolic to fellow New Hampshire residents. Compare it to Mt. Rushmore except it occurred naturally. I am so glad I kept the pics we snapped of him each time we went up to the White Mountains.

I was born and raised in NH. I remember seeing The Old Man in the Mountain so many, many times. This is so sad. I sent this on to my family to let them know. Hugs.
