Good Earth

So I had a really nice weekend. What's that you say? You actually have a life outside infertility treatments? Shocking but true.
For Mother's Day we had my parents come over instead of going out. Tom made his (now famous) belgian waffles. Served with strawberries and whipped cream, yummy. After gorging ourselves we watched my parents' tape from their latest trip scuba diving. This is classic, my dad ran out out of air and went back to the surface. Right after that a six foot hammerhead shark swam past my mom. She was petrifed and thrilled all at the same time. Good thing the cameraman got it or my dad never would have believed her. Scuba diving might be the only way I get Tom to a tropical locale.
Then I forced my parents to help me set up my garden. Truth be told they actually enjoyed themselves. Since the previous owners did not have a garden we started from scratch. We built two 8X4 foot raised beds. The hardest part was digging up the soil. They don't call this the "Granite State" for nothing. We were almost done when my dad uncovered a 75 pound boulder. I voted to plant around it but they insisted on removing it. That was a chore and a half. So now my beds lay ready for bags of top soil and manure. Our last frost date up here is the 17th. I can hardly wait to get things in the ground. I am hoping to buy some seedlings and start weathering them off this week.

PS Somehow last night Tom managed to get stung. The bee apparently got trapped up his pant leg. When he went to change, bam, she got him. I am still denying it was one of my girls. Well at least now we know he isn't allergic.

I once had a bee fly in my mouth and sting me in the throught. Painful, but I survived. Guess I'm not allergic either. Glad the hub is ok.
