I am spent today and will spend tomorrow with Erika in Maine. We are having our quarterly staff retreat. "But Alisa", you say, "you don't work there any more." Yes, yes I understand that. But I have trouble with closure. Besides I am still emotionally invested in the growth and health of the organization. Plus when have I ever missed a chance to assert my opinions and engage in vigorous debate? Um...like never.
I will say it is different now. I don't get wired up with the conversations. I have the comfortable detachment of an outsider with the working knowledge of an insider. I like this position. Less stress. Just ask Erika.
